Umbrella is the creation of sisters-in-law Fay and Linda Sciarra.  Devotees of flea markets and antique stores, they opened Umbrella in 2009 as a mecca for antiques, mid-century furniture by Mies Van der Rohe, Paul Evans, James Mont and Milo Baughman, one-of-a-kind accessories, lighting and art.  Fay, an accomplished painter and assemblage artist, drew upon her connections with seasoned antiques dealers from years of buying vintage elements for her artwork.  Linda and Fay convinced these dealers to co-create an unrivaled home decor collection built on a continual influx of their "best stuff."  Fay and Linda chose the name Umbrella to signify their philosophy: a business is only as good as it's people! The Umbrella dealers are committed to the Umbrella concept of intermingling a showroom full of cool inventory, not to be found anywhere else in such abundance.
